The III International Piano Competition “Ciudad de Vigo”,  was held this year from April 16 to 20, 2019. It took place in Vigo at the Martín Códax Auditorium of the Superior Conservatory. It obtained a record number of participants, participating finally pianists from more than 38 countries.

The jury was composed of great figures worldwide (Martha Argerich, president of jury, Nelson Freire, Tamás Vásáry, Pablo Galdo and Sergio Tiempo). All of them pointed that the level was very high. They decided to award the following awards:

FRIST PRIZE: Gigashvili, Giorgi

SECOND PRIZE “GALICIA”: Beisembayev, Alim

THIRD PRIZE "JUAN MONTES”: Kotys, Vasyl

SPECIAL PRIZE OF PUBLIC “MARTÍN CÓDAX”: Beisembayev, Alim

“BACH” AWARD: Navarro, Priscila

“MARCIAL DEL ADALID” AWARD: Román Vázquez, Carla

SPECIAL PRIZE “NELSON FREIRE”: Gigashvili, Giorgi

SPECIAL MENTIONS: Kliuchereva, Elizaveta; Dmytrenko, Anna; Sutkutė, Gabrielė
