Some of the world's greatest pianists and masters have been unanimous in highlighting his talent and musicianship. He obtained the Advanced Degree in Piano at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona.

Luís Filipe Sá graduated from the Conservatory of Music of Porto in the class of Maria Teresa Xavier. He was also a disciple of Helena Moreira de Sá e Costa, with whom he developed and deepened his piano studies. Worked chamber music in the classes of the cellist Madalena Moreira de Sá e Costa and the violinist Alberto Gaio Lima. He was a fellow of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
